A big thanks to everyone who contributed to the inaugural issue of Nope! The resulting selection of art is pretty diverse and makes for an interesting collection. We’re already thinking about Issue 2, so stay tuned!

Issue 1 is Complete

Well, almost. We’re just waiting on two artists (you know who you are) to get their submissions to us. As soon as these last two pieces are in, they’ll go in the layout, and the issue will go live. Check back soon and/or sign up for our email list to get updated then minute it’s up.

Cover’s Done

Just completed the cover layout. It features artwork from—well, you’ll see. Anyways, it means we’re in the home stretch. We’re about to send out a final call for our tardy artists. If that’s you, drop us a note and let us know stuff’s coming. If all goes according to plan, we’re less than 3 weeks away.

Issue 1 in Production

It’s been awhile in coming, but we are actually putting the finishing touches on the first issue! A few artists—who we’d really like to include!—have yet to get us stuff. You know who you are! Once we get those last few, the thing’ll be done. It’s looking good, and all the tech stuff is in place. So, just a week or so and it’ll be ready for prime time.

Yeah, seems like we got our priorities outta whack. We just set up a Spreadshirt shop with T-shirts (and a couple bags.) Check it out. But, it’s not that we’re putting the cart before the horse: we hope to use some of this schwag to “incentivize” participants. More soon.

Unexpected Delays (aren’t they always?)

The reality is, this project is subservient to the demands of The Day Job (Hazen Creative, Inc.) That day job has heated up recently. In this economy, that’s great news, and we’re not complaining. However, it means that this noble pursuit has taken a bit of a back-seat for the next couple (?) weeks. Apologies to the artists who’ve submitted their great pieces and anxiously await the launch of Issue 1. We’re anxious, too. Soon. Soon…

Call-for-Entries is Out

We’ve invited a select group of artists, designers, and writers internationally (well, the a bunch o’ ’Mericans and and one Brit) to participate in the inaugural issue. The goal is to have this out early this year. Shoot us an email if you received the invite and want some more info.
